San Miguel Foods (SMF) recently held a company-wide virtual town hall designed to engage, inform, and inspire employees across all business units and locations nationwide. The event was a vibrant showcase of SMF’s commitment to transparency, collaboration, and forward momentum.
The program kicked off strongly as SMF President Butch Alejo unveiled the company’s inspiring new vision, “A healthy nation through better nutrition,” alongside the core purpose, “Nourishing people, nurturing life”. His presentation laid out a clear and inspiring roadmap for the future, setting the tone for the entire event.
This was followed by lively roundtable discussions where employees shared stories of innovation and impact, each one directly contributing to this newly defined vision and core purpose. These conversations not only highlighted individual contributions but also underscored the collective energy driving the company's success.
Adding depth to the event, San Miguel Corporation (SMC) Sustainability Advisor and SMF Corporate Affairs Group Head Tatish Palabyab presented the company's sustainability goals and milestones. She emphasized SMC’s unwavering commitment to environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and good governance, encouraging employees to be part of these crucial initiatives.
In another highlight, SMF Chief Operating Officer Beth Bay took the podium to deliver a State of the Business Address. Her update on year-to-date performance and the outlook ahead was filled with optimism and drive. She took a moment to congratulate and celebrate the teams and individuals who performed well in the first half of the year.
One of the most engaging segments was a panel discussion with the General Managers of Protein and Animal Nutrition, Processed Meats, Magnolia and Coffee, and Flour. Facilitated by new HR Manager, Teddy Pangalilingan, this dialogue provided a deep dive into each business unit’s strategic initiatives. The live Q&A sessions allowed employees to connect directly with leadership, revealing further insights.
The high point of the event came during a live interaction with employees from various San Miguel Foods facilities nationwide. They shared their enthusiastic feedback on the presentations and pledged their support to the new vision and core purpose, creating a sense of unity and shared commitment.
